Our Sunday service is open to all. It is usually led by James Neve, our senior minister. We think you'll enjoy them - come and see for yourself! Sunday morning services are our time our worship and fellowship as the community of believers. We have communion once a month. Normally there is a cup of tea or coffee in the lounge after services. A crêche is available and G-Factor runs for children and young people. In our Sunday morning services we are taking a more relaxed and informal approach during the main part of August. Once a month we usually have a 'Going Deeper' Service in the evening - to challenge and stretch us. This service is at 7.30pm. Our final Going Deeper for the Summer was on 22nd June. We expect these to restart in the Autumn Small groups are meeting every week at local venues in people's homes. A variety of study books are used, and we are looking as a church at developing different small groups to meet different needs. There are also many other activities happening in the week which you might like to get involved in - from toddlers to youth cell, Women's Wellbeing to Citizens Advice sessions - and more! Look in HBC's Calendar for examples. Xtreme is our Mid-week event for 11 to 14 yr olds. Download the Flyer for more details of the programme! |
HBC News Remember our church calendar is now online. We maintain a Google Calendar for the church. If you have a Google Calendar of your own you can add ours to show them both, if you wish. The Why Wasps? and Alpha Courses have been running this year. Recently we had a course called "An Ordinary Day With Jesus". They have been well received. If you would like to take part in any of these courses in the future, give the church a ring on the number below. Have a look at the last Going Deeper programme. You will find we had a range of challenging topics by a number of 'luminaries' - including our own members! Download the previous flyer here. Our senior minister James Neve is taking his overdue 'sabbatical' from September. The last Sunday in August was our chanceto say farewell fora few months. All correspndance and emails need to be redirected to our other minister, Doreen Thornton or our minister - in - training, Ian Geere. James is due to return on December 1st. Watch this space for more information in the Autumn. Talking of Ian, he has returned from his placement in Cheadle Hulme. Looks like a busy term ahead!
